Littelfuse's SMF3.3 series TVS diodes are designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transient events. They are provided in a small and flat-lead, low-profile, plastic package (SOD-123FL) and can deliver 200 W at 10/1000 μs of surge power capability. Its low reverse standoff voltage is just 3.3 V and can deliver 200 W at 10/1000 μs, 1200 W at 8 /20 μs surge power capability in a very small footprint, which makes it suitable for low voltage applications.
Transient Voltage Suppressor Application Overview
TVS Diode Products
Features and Benefits
- Low clamping voltage of 6.8 V, low reverse standoff voltage of 3.3 V (low clamping factor VCL/ VBR) and 200 W surge capability
- SOD-123FL small and flat-lead, low-profile, plastic package; compatible with industrial standard, with a height of only 1.08 mm
- Promotes high ESD immunity and superior protection: ESD, IEC 61000-4-2, ±22 kV contact, ±22 kV air discharge; EFT, IEC 61000-4-4, 40 A (5/50 ns)
- Excellent surge capability makes it ideal for protecting sensitive devices against transient over voltages
- Optimizes the use of circuit board space. Also, due to its small size, it is good for designing into portable devices/hard drives, notebooks, VCC busses, POS terminals, SSDs, power supplies, monitors and other consumer applications
- Permits manufacturers to achieve ESD protection beyond the maximum level stated in the IEC standard and protects against a multitude of other threats to ensure product reliability in the field
Applications
- SMF3.3 devices are ideal for the protection of portable devices/hard drives, notebooks, VCC busses, POS terminal, SSDs, power supplies, monitors, and vulnerable circuit used in other consumer applications
