By Texas Instruments 360
Texas Instruments' first I2C, fully-integrated, 4.5 A charger on the market provides both host control and autonomous charging when the host is not available. The bq24190, bq24192, bq24192I, and bq24193 are highly-integrated switch-mode battery charge management and system power path management devices for single cell Li-Ion and Li-polymer batteries in a wide range of tablet and other portable devices. Their low impedance power path optimizes switch-mode operation efficiency, reduce battery charging time, and extend battery life during discharging phase. The I²C serial interface with charging and system settings makes the devices a truly flexible solution.
