Integrated power management IC with 800V avalanche rugged CoolMOS, startup cell and QR current mode flyback PWM controller in DSO-16/12 package. Capable for 25.5W SMPS design. This derivative has a lower UVLO voltage (9.85V) so that it can easier be used to optimize system design. The quasi QR CoolSET series continues to deliver design agility and miniaturization. Upon the successful F3 CoolSET, this new series offer the possibility of higher efficiency and better EMI performance. The digital frequency reduction feature score a very stable operation with decreasing load change, and the fold-back correction keep the maximum power limits within tolerance desired by SMPS designers. The active burst mode operation during low power consumption, remains market leaders in providing best-in-class power consumption during standby. | Summary of Features: Integrated power IC with 650V avalanche rugged CoolMOS, startup cell and QR flyback PWM controller; Digital frequency reduction with decreasing load,; Cycle-by-cycle current limitation with fold-back correction; Built-in digital soft-start; Active burst mode for lowest standby power <50mW; Latch-off mode for short-winding and output voltage; Enhanced integrated protection functions, modulated gate drive, etc.; Lower Vcc turn off threshold | Benefits: Higher efficiency; Low EMI noise; Low standby power, etc. | Target Applications: Small power supply such as Blu-ray, DVD player, set-top box, game console, smart meter, charger and auxiliary power of high power system such as LED TV, etc.
Quasi Resonant CoolSET™ Power ICs
Infineon Quasi Resonant CoolSET™ Power ICs are optimized for off-line switch power supplies in cascode configurations. The ICs are housed in single packages with two separate chips; one is a controller chip and the other is an HV MOSFET chip. The ICs can achieve lower EMI and higher efficiency with improved digital frequency reduction through the proprietary novel Quasi Resonant operation. The enhanced Active Burst Mode enables flexibility in standby power range selection. The product has a wide operation range (10 ~ 25.5V) of IC power supply and lower power consumption.Learn More
